One of the most important reasons why we need mold remediation, is because mold can cause health issues. How so?
Well, it seems that mold has been an irritant to some and has triggered allergies in others. For instance, mold can irritate the eyes, the nose and lungs. Usually though, it is only large formations of mold that have these sorts of health effects.
It has been said also that health problems associated with high levels of airborne mold spores can also result in – the irritating of the throat, sinus congestion, periods of asthma together with other respiratory ailments.
These conditions will escalate and be more serious if the persons immune system is compromised. Mold Remediation will eliminate these extra, unwanted health problems.
There can also be Hypersensitivity from mold caused particularly by the direct exposure to inhaled mold spores. These spores can be dead or alive. This can lead to allergic asthma and allergic rhinitis, and rhinorrhea (persistent watery mucus discharge from the nose as in the common cold), and even hypersensitivity pneumonitis. This usually comes from inhaling spores or fragments in an occupational setting. It has been predicted that about 5% of people will have some airway symptoms due to allergic reactions to molds in their lifetimes.
So, I’m sure you’ll agree that there is a need to employ mold remediation if we have a mold problem, so as to eliminate these extra health issues that we or our family could do without.
